Why “All Lives Matter” is the Rational and Moral Declaration

It is a pathetic and frustrating thing to be labeled a racist (as I recently was) by simply pointing out that humanity is rooted in individuals, not groups like “blacks” and “whites”; that racism is a function of individual beliefs and action, and therefore cannot not be ascribed to individuals because of some trite, subjective group/institutional affiliation; and it is also exasperating to hear it asserted that saying “all lives matter” is–by some backwards, inane Marxist “logic”–an anti-black declaration when in fact it is merely pointing out THE objective ontological fact which makes Truth, Reality and Morality possible at all.

When someone calls you a racist for saying “all lives matter” they are simply proclaiming their collectivist beliefs, which necessarily spawn ethics and politics that hold violence to be the primary and ultimately only efficacious way of compelling moral behavior. In other words, those who declare it racist and thus evil to express the rank ontological truth and fact that all lives matter is implying that they really believe that NO lives matter.

Not black. Not white. Not yours. Not mine. Not their own.

Why Authority (Violence as the Primary Means of Achieving Objectives) is a Direct Function of Determinism

The primary ethic and politic of determinism is authoritarianism. That is, once individual Will becomes merely an inexorable effect of a Singularity of Cause which decides all purpose, be it God, or Natural Law/Scientific Empiricism, Existence (what “is” as its own end, where “Existence” must necessarily subordinate all other definitions of all objects, rendering their distinctions moot), or Social/Cultural Construction, or any other garden variety ideal like the Common Good, the Underprivileged, etcetera etcetera, then man cannot by definition act purposefully, on his own, to any relevant, rational, or moral objective, regardless of how this objective may be defined. Thus, all knowledge and purpose can only be ascribed to some kind of transcendent (and rationally impossible) revelation according to those who proclaim themselves the ecclesiastical (ruling according to “spiritual” mandate) recipients of the “Wisdom” or “Truth” of the Great Cause (the Singularity of Cause).  Examples of this can be found in religious leaders who claim divine rulership according to “God’s Calling”, the Representatives of States who claim to act on behalf of the “People” or the “Common Good”, or Intellectual elites who claim natural insight or acumen with respect to the “language of the Universe”, where the universe speaks in the arcane vernacular of mathematics, statistical analysis, genetic and evolutionary processes, various research methodologies, etcetera, etcetera. In all of these cases, Truth, and thus necessarily all that Is, is a function of an abstract ideal which causes absolutely, and therefore categorically determines all that man does, and thus, by definition, all that man thinks. Man then can only be compelled and controlled by force (violence), since he possesses no real capacity for self-awareness and therefore no capacity for self-control. He cannot think, therefore he cannot choose. And therefore he must be ruled–and absolutely so, by those who DO think, and DO know: those, again, who are the self-proclaimed extensions of the Determining (Singularity of) Cause. In other words, they rule you, because they are, as far as you are concerned,  indistinguishable from that which determines you.

The Christian Ethic of Serving THYSELF

It is a contradiction in terms to declare: “I exist to serve myself, and so does everyone else”. Because this statement concedes a distinction between “myself” and all other selves; and since myself MUST be singular/absolute–for there is no way to divide or mitigate the metaphysical root of one’s Self–then it is conceded that the metaphysical frame of reference for all other selves is equally singular/absolute. In which case, it is impossible that all other selves exist to serve “myself” because the absolute/singular metaphysical nature of each Self demands that ALL actions of ALL Selves can only and always be in service to the absolute Self which lay at their root.

So…is it rational to claim that you exist to serve God?

No. It isn’t. Which is why God never claimed it. Your existence is a function of your Self, and so THAT is what you ALWAYS serve. Whether you like it or not.

The real Christian ethic is to serve and promote yourself and allow others the absolute freedom to do the same. Real Christians preach freedom of association, not cosmic slavery.

Sacrifice as an Ethical Primary is Irrational

You have heard it said that it–the “zeitgeist” or “ethos” of life–is not about you, but is about your sacrifice, ultimately, to something “greater” than yourself.

This is not true; and never was; nor ever can be.

The truth is that it is all about you, and necessarily so. You see, “you” is the frame of reference by which you exist and act and define all things, absolutely. Take away “you”, and there is nothing else, for you would have lost the very thing necessary to give all else any relevancy and purpose in the first place.

In other words,  without YOU, there is no frame of reference by which you can define what “greater thing” it is to which you are told to sacrifice yourself. And without out a frame of reference, there is no definition of the thing; and without a definition of WHAT, there is no WHY. And with no why, there can be no sacrifice.

Sacrifice of self then…is a lie.
